Yeah, I probably could do that. But I think I'll pass. That's going into far more detail than most people, other than die-hard laundry nerds, would care about.

When you talk about internal water heaters, you need to distinguish between different modes of operation: 1) Boost temperature, and lengthen wash cycle if necessary until target temp is achieved; 2) Boost temperature, but wash cycle may end before temp is achieved; 3) Maintain incoming temperature. And some machines use different modes on different cycles, or use the heater only on selected cycles.
