However, the recall number on the letter told me that the CT numbers should only go thru 35...NOT 49. That's really weird. I have a repairman coming tomorrow anyway to fix the DANG F51 that he has already been out here for and replaced parts (thankfully under extended warranty). I think Sears has a scam going....they can make money either on parts, or scare you into an extended warranty. These products are the worst washer and dryer I have ever had. Control panel on Dryer has been replaced TWICE in 5 years. I'm switching to asian made washer/dryer next time. This Sears guy told me all these parts are made in Mexico. No wonder they don't work right!!!! :)

Thank you so much for your help Brad. After first buying the Oasis HE, we encountered no problems...then about a year into owning it, the F51 error started...not all the time, but often enough to be annoying and usually only on heavy loads like towels or jeans. A quick search brought me to your site, among many others, addressing this issue. After reading a post by someone, either here or at another site, that indicated it might be a balancing issue, I tried my best to make sure my machine was correctly leveled, something the delivery guys never did. Anyway, after doing that, the F51 error miraculously stopped for maybe a year or more and hasn't come back yet. And now this letter...Since I'm thinking it's possible that the machine could resume it's lovely F51 error at anytime, I'm taking Sears up on their offer to replace my electronic control board "at no cost to me." With fingers crossed, I'm hoping that I don't create more problems for myself by "fixing" something that is no longer erroring out. I'll keep you posted once I find out if it was all worth it or not.

Over a year late, eh?
