ok , here u go ! That lovely F1 Code .... Water everywhere ! Flooded the entire utility room . This time instead of damage to flooring , last time i had ceramic tile installed and had washer moved by sump pit . So yes water still flooded the room but dried up with fans... Upon observation i found the following . You have two pumps on this unit , A drain pump and a recirculating pump ... The pump wires are attached to the pump with a slide connector that you would have on your outdoor lights ... The connector is garbage ! My opinion ! When the assembler slides the wire to just cut into the connector , instead the wire cut 90% of the way threw , then while washing clothes your washer cuts the wire the rest of the way threw the connector ... Bad engineer job! Wrong connector !! When i tapped soft on the pump it started to work , so i knew that i had to check it . I took it off i wired it to a power supply and bingo it worked . The drain hose , way too thin ,,, had a pin hole leak, I replaced it with a hose from autozone that is reinforced with strength string ... Much better hose,.,.I rewired the pump it works great ! Then I found the F1 code .... I took the top of the washer panel off . 3 screws 8mm .. On the right side looking at machine you see a round piece of metal with a hose going to it . This is a pressure switch ,..,. The clear tube goes down to the bottom of the tub in back ... This is a switch that gets clogged with soap or lint from a rug or loose clothing and if you take the tube off ,pull, and blow threw it then re-attach it and the light goes off.. It fixed the problem ... washer started to work .. I will keep an eye on it to see if i need to replace it , although it is fine for now ... Also do not forget to CLEAN CYCLE your washer .It helps with this issue.. Good Luck !!!!!

I have a great giant paper weight, which is a bout all it is good for, i have had my washer for about 3 yrs. I had the unbalance code, which was no big deal then i had water come out of the bottom repair guy came out and replaced something underneth no chanrge. The advise from repair guy don't wash socks or anything same in washer (great advise). Now i have the code F1, at the end of my rope.

Our Maytag Bravos 300 a few months old has problems with unbalanced load signals and has a recent hard rubbery glue-like gray crust which formed around the top rubber gasket where you open the hatch to put the clothes in. It is almost impossible to pull this substance off of the rubber gasket, on top and under. This washer is generally a piece of @^%$. Do not ever use Clorox non-chlorine bleach ever, which I think may have contributed to the is problem, even though it is supposedly safe.

i have a bravo hp pretty good until the warranty ran out had service men they all said the same thing . THEY ARE THE WORSE ON THE MARKET. WHEN WARRANTY WARES OUT SO DOES THE MACHINE. I normally would never post on a blog, but my bravo washing machine has been pissing me off for the past few months with its F1 CODE. This is the second failed machine from Maytag that I own. The Sears guy lied to me about the product, saying that it's good. Guess what, reality is that Maytag sucks. And it's costing me thousands of dollars. Don't even bother with their warranty, let alone buy a Maytag machine.

I am also a proud owner of a bravo may tag washer and dryer. Found this site because of the F1 error code. I called a rep service repair place and he said that these machines were not a good product and that they do not repair them. Awe, I should have went to them like I did before instead of buying these pieces of scape metal. I do not like these machine for all the reasons stated above. I wish I was a lucky one whom loves their machine. I happened to love my prior machine and had it for +15 yes and then died a honorable death. Any other info about F1 error code as I do not have money to buy another machine/dryer. Dryer doesn't dry very well either must put it on several times... And no warranty ran out long time ago...
