The reality is most parts are not available locally most parts are made for a specific model and year of a product aka one off parts design thank the manufacture for that. They are highly circuit board driven today so they are going to break as often as your home computer or more often because most people treat their appliance far worse the their computer. The chances are most of the time your tech is not going to have the part. The second part here is the fact that if you buy your product some where else you don't get a better product they are all made by the same manufactures even Kenmore depends on the product everyone from GE,whirlpool,LG,Samsung has been named a Kenmore. Can't wait until you have to get your Lowes or Homedepo or who ever you bought from has to be service. The fact is sears may struggle to get your product serviced today but it is really the manufacture fault they don't supply information on their products to make the repair. Much past a bad fan motor or compressor your local repair guy / ma and pop shop is sunk not to mention they aren't going warranty their work and not going to help you with money toward a new product if it is not repairable. It is interesting that whirlpool has protected themselves by hiding behind sears for what they are making today. Now the only thing I am going to agree with you here is the call taking service they need allot of work. Keep in mind as well the tech has 8 to 10hrs he works a day I have seen these techs routes most end up with 8 to 10 call scheduled a day and get the brunt for the over scheduling every day from you and of coarse you pay to.

Hello, Brad,

Great job.

Perhaps you can help us with a question I have. Sears. :(

So my husband is thinking to buy the extended five year warranty. I don't want to give this company any more money at all.

If we go with the manufacturer's warranty is there an independent company where we can buy a service contract? I'd much prefer to buy one from a company that I can trust than go with this company again.

The irony? We were going to buy the Fisher & Paykel and in the last minute decided to buy Cabrio's top loader at Lowes.
