Guess I should be paying more attention to the comments that are left on my blog!
An anonymous reader left a comment giving two phone numbers to contact Whirlpool.
The first number, 1-866-698-2538, rings into the Whirlpool "customer eXperience Center". The reader states "After I mentioned this error code, they were very helpful and told me that while there was no official recall that they would take care of this problem free of charge. I purchased my washer in October 2006 and had this problem and a tech out within 30 days of the purchase."
The reader goes on to give a direct line to the Cabrio recall as 866-769-7260, with the advice to "Just be nice to them and I am sure they will take care of the problem."






My local Sears dealer loaned a Whirpool Cabrio to me because my brand new Kenmore had to have the motor replaced! The whirlpool is just as problemmatic! The F51 error flashes 1/2 way thru any cycle I choose. I can then cancel that cycle and choose Rinse/spin cycle and the washer then finishes. I will be glad to get mine fixed. I hope these companies decided to go back to the dials instead of computerized selection!
